Here's an update on our final day of work from Chad Whitehead, lovingly known as either Chief Chad, or more recently, Uncle Chad.
Chad got a little long-winded (like I have room to talk, I know! :)), so we had to split his post into two parts.
An opportunity for the members of Christ Lutheran Church in Peoria, IL to get a glimpse of the work our youth are doing in New Orleans from June 20-28, 2009. Feedback and comments on posts are highly encouraged!
Great job Chad! Thank You Thank You Thank You for all you do for the youth of Christ Lutheran. You along with Pastor S. are making such a huge impact on these kids. Again Thank You!
ReplyDeleteCathy,
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see I'm not the only one up this early. You are welcome. It is humbling to work with the youth. It is really cool to watch them when you know they get what is going on.

Chad it's great to hear how you have touched and been touched by the youth and the individuals that you all have been helping. Your reference to Jesus washing the feet of his followers and how humbling that is - makes what the youth, leaders, yourself, and Pastor S. are doing a fine example of that servant attitude and is a great way to represent Christ Lutheran Church and it's family of believers. Blessings on your return trip and God's speed.
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking care of our kids, Chad:) Also, thanks to your wife for letting you go!!!

Chad, thank you so much for being such a humble, kind and Godly leader for these kids. You mean just as much to their parents as you do to them! Hope by now you are on the road to trip recovery! ;-)
